Gold CIL & CIP Plant — High-Recovery Cyanidation
Carbon-in-leach (CIL) and carbon-in-pulp (CIP) are the industry-standard routes for recovering gold from finely milled ore by cyanidation.
Leaching + Carbon Adsorption in One Circuit
In a CIL plant, cyanide leaching and carbon adsorption happen in the same tanks. In a CIP plant, leaching precedes adsorption. Both recover dissolved gold onto activated carbon.

Large leaching capacity
Xinhai designs CIL/CIP tanks up to 20 m × 20 m. Gold CIL recovery can reach 99% when the ore and circuit are matched correctly.
- Dual-impeller leaching and agitation tanks
- Carbon handling and elution system
- Electrowinning and refining of gold

From loaded carbon to doré
After adsorption, gold is stripped from carbon in an elution system, recovered by electrowinning and smelted. We supply elution systems from 200 kg to 3,000 kg.
- Elution and regeneration circuits
- Electrowinning cells
- Gold room design and layout
